Experience theater with all your senses | the play “The Builders”

How can you experience theater with multiple senses? See for yourself how the performance of “Budowniczki” changes when the stage action is enriched with audio description, translation into Polish Sign Language, and an innovative sensory guide.

On Thursday, November 13, at 12:00 p.m., the play “Budowniczki,” which tells the story of courageous women from our region, will be performed with translation into Polish Sign Language. Since the play features two actresses who play different characters, there will also be two people interpreting the text into PJM. Each actress’s lines will be “signed” by one and the same person, thus preserving the theatrical illusion.

The following day, Friday, November 14, also at 12:00 p.m., the audience will be able to follow the stage action thanks to audio description and a sensory guide. Using it, you will be able to feel the set design through touch: texture, shape, hardness, or softness. The sensory guide is an innovative tool, conceived and made accessible by Patrycja Gancarczyk, designed by Nina Marszałek, and produced by Weronika Althamer.
