20th Day: Julia Fidelus – a one-woman show

When I was twenty-three, I’d say to her, ‘Don’t die, or I’ll die too.’ But of course, that didn’t happen. When your mother dies, it feels as if your insides—the ones in your chest—are being ripped out with bare hands, and yet it’s a little worse.”

Who does a daughter become when her mother dies?

Julia Fidelus’s monodrama was created at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theater Academy in Warsaw, Białystok Branch, during her third year of acting studies, as part of the “Theater of the Animated Form” course.

The performance is based on the book BEZMATEK by Mira Marcinów, published by Wydawnictwo Czarne Spółka z o. o., based in Wołowiec.

This project was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund—a state-administered special-purpose fund—as part of the “Young Theater—The Sequel” project.
