On Saturday, a performance of “The Builders” and a conversation with Joanna Kuciel-Frydryszak | Finale of the Festival of Forgotten Cultures On Saturday we invite you to the final events of this year’s Festival of Forgotten Cultures. We begin at 5:00 pm with the premiere of the play “Female Builders,” directed by Pawel Paszta. The script was written by Magdalena Jasinska based on interviews she conducted with Anna Weistock-Mentel in a dozen towns in the region over the summer. The collected stories formed a multidimensional picture of courageous women – the “Builders” of the title. Get to know their HERstories before they fade from the recesses of oblivion! The play features Grazyna Rutkowska-Kusa and Marta Parfieniuk-Bialowicz. Immediately after the performance, a meeting with Joanna Kuciel-Frydryszak, author of the bestseller “Peasants” will begin. The outstanding reporter will be interviewed by Lukasz Wudarski, and the topic of the meeting will be women of courage, “builders” and leaders of local communities. Admission is free! read more The events are held as part of the “Festival of Forgotten Cultures: Female Builders. Herstories of Brave Women” subsidized by funds from the Local Government of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The event is part of the celebration of the Year of Brave Women.
