Success of the Handicraft Team Club Supełek.

Malgorzata Barnat and Teresa Buczynska, members of the Supełek Club, were awarded by the jury of the Kujawy Folk Art Contest “Towards Kujawy! – My Way – Kuyavian Heritage”. The competition is organized every two years by the “Wahadlo” Cultural and Historical Center of Brest Kujawski.

Kuyavian embroidery is recognizable at first glance. Its characteristic form inspires female artists and folk artists not only in Kuyavia. It was in the category of Kuyavian embroidery that the first prize went to Malgorzata Barnat.

In turn, the second prize in the “Lace” category was awarded by the jury to Teresa Buczynska, who specializes, like most of the artists affiliated with the “Supełek Club”, in shuttle lace – fretwork.

All the awarded works are presented at a post-competition exhibition, which you can see in the Brest “Wahadle” until the end of May.
