As a trio, they decided to create and tour in October 2020, when they played a concert for the first time at Elblag’s El Gallery. Rather, the members of the band do not need to be introduced more closely, for for years they have been “over-acting” with all their intensity to create a national musical universe, being pillars and at the same time progenitors in many projects. The band’s repertoire is mainly Trzaska’s film music, although recently there have been collaborative compositions of the group’s members, interspersed with flowery collective improvisations. They are currently at the stage of creating the repertoire that is the content of their first debut album. The musicians will play their own compositions and film music that appears in Wojciech Smarzowski’s films and more. He grew up on the grounds of yass – an artistic and social movement that rebelled against the ossification of the domestic jazz community in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Trzaska was a co-founder of yass’ most important formations – the legendary Love and Wax. Although the yass momentum died out many years ago, he became a leading figure in the domestic improvised scene. After the yass period, he recorded several focused and muted albums with the Oles brothers. He also accompanied poets Swietlicki and Andrukhovych, and created music and literary projects with Andrzej Stasiuk. Today he is the leader, international trio Volumen, a member of, among others, Shofar – performing Jewish music, Above all, however, he realizes himself on the ground of radical free jazz, working with the world’s masters of free improvisation, including Peter Brötzmann, Joe McPhee, Ken Vandermark, He is also a recognized composer of film music, permanently cooperating with, among others, Wojciech Smarzowski, composing music for films: The House of Evil, The Rose, Wolyn, Under the Strong Angel, The Cleric. Olo Walicki – double bassist, composer, producer. Creator of OW Kaszebe, The Saintbox, Zespół Cieśni i Tańca projects. He plays improvised music, composes for theater performances and film. Associated with the environment of Tricity and Warsaw artists of the off stage. He realizes performances and projects with dance theaters. He made his debut as a sixteen-year-old playing in the avant-garde group Blue Aviator, with Jerzy Mazzol and Jacek Olter. He participated in the trend known as the yass scene and collaborated with its creators, Tymon Tymanski, Mikołaj Trzaska, Tomasz Gwinciński. For many years he played in Leszek Możdżer’s bands. Between 1996 and 2004, Walicki performed and recorded with the Zbigniew Namysłowski Quartet. He co-founded the free-jazz band Łoskot, as well as the pop-alternative Szwagierkolaska, the group Oczi Cziorne and the late lineup of the band Miłość. He participated in the recording of dozens of stylistically diverse albums. Walicki has published several of his own projects in his own label (including “Metalla Pretiosa”, “Olo Walicki Kaszëbë”). Macio Moretti, actually Maciej Jerzy Moruś – Polish musician, composer, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, as well as graphic designer, co-founder of the Lado ABC record label.
