Take a look at the digital archive at budowniczki.pl and see for yourself how exciting and unexpected the stories there are. The archive is constantly being expanded. You too can add a story about a woman whom you consider important and worthy of remembrance.

The archive is part of the “Budowniczki na Kujawach i Pomorzu” (Women Builders in Kujawy and Pomerania) project, which was co-financed by the “Kultura dostępna” (Accessible Culture) program from the funds of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the budget of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province Local Government. The aim of the project is to preserve the memory of women whose contributions are often overlooked by official chronicles.

Budowniczki.pl is not only a dynamically developing archive, but also a modern educational space. Much of the information published there was discovered by Anna Weistock-Mentel, the project coordinator, who eagerly collected herstories during workshops conducted in various locations throughout the region. Because history and herstories can be told in an interesting way using innovative tools. See for yourself!
