We are a beneficiary of the Minister’s Program for Cultural Centers

Get ready for the new, even more jazzy and swing sound of the WOAK Vabank Orchestra! Thanks to funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the 2026 Cultural Center Infrastructure program, the band’s instrumentation will expand this year to include two saxophones (tenor and soprano), two euphoniums (baritone tubas), two trombones, and a piccolo flute, as well as a large set of percussion instruments: cymbals, snare drum, and various “percussion instruments.”
For a long time, Waldemar Urbański, bandmaster of the WOAK Vabank Orchestra, has been introducing pieces from the borderline between jazz, swing, and popular music into the repertoire. Thanks to his daring arrangements, each concert attracts a full house. With the expanded instrumentation, both the band and its leader will gain new opportunities for artistic expression.
We also want to ensure the technical quality of the concerts and increase their accessibility for people with different needs. Therefore, as part of the project, we also intend to purchase a set of microphones and improve the induction loop used during concerts.

We will keep you informed about the details of the project’s implementation. In the fall, we invite you to a concert where you will hear the even richer sound of the WOAK Vabank Orchestra.

The amount of funding under the Minister’s Program is PLN 72,000.
