We were at the Festival in Padua | Universal Art Design

Last week, our delegation, together with the NODOstage and Czajkowska/Bernadowski/Grycmacher teams, participated in the Universal Art Design festival in Padua. The festival marked the end of a project that we had been working on for almost a year together with our partners: the Teatro Stabile del Veneto national theater in Italy and the Kulturanova association in Serbia. The project was co-financed by the European Union as part of the Creative Europe program and by the Local Government of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province.

We invited theater groups from Poland, Serbia, and Italy to participate in the project. We started with an international camp in Toruń in June 2025 and just finished with the festival in Padua. During this time, each group took part in workshops and consultations that touched on the topic of universal design in the performing arts in various ways. At the same time, the groups participated in artistic residencies. The result was performances presented in the fall on stages in Toruń, Padua, and Novi Sad. Two performances by Polish groups were seen by the audience at the festival in Padua: “NIC” by the Czajkowska/ Bernadowski/Grycmacher group and “Gorgon Syndrome” by the NODOstage theater. The latter performance was presented a month earlier in Bremen at the “Kultur on Tour” festival, and soon there will be an opportunity to see it at WOAK.
