Thank you for celebrating with us!

We sincerely thank you for celebrating WOAK’s 50th anniversary with us. Thank you for your wishes, letters and official addresses. We are glad that among the guests there were so many people who worked here at various times in the fifty-year history of WOAK and earlier WDK. By the decision of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the former employees Malgorzata Gardziola, Barbara Planeta and Alicja Usowicz, as well as the former director Jerzy Rochowiak and Marek Kantorski, who still works at WOAK, were awarded the Meritorious for Polish Culture badge.

A great honor for us is the Unitas Durat Palatinatus Cuiaviano-Pomeraniensis medal, which was received from the hands of Deputy Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski by director Łukasz Wudarski.

Referring to the name of the award, “Strong with unity,” Deputy Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski stressed that unity must always be associated with culture. And building this unity is also the mission of our institution.

Once again, we thank you and invite you to the next anniversary events:

  • Until the end of May you can see the photo exhibition “We were united by WOAK”,
  • On Saturday, May 17, we invite you to a concert by the WOAK Vabank Orchestra,
  • and on Thursday, May 29, for the premiere of the film “Color in Gray. Half a century of WOAK,” directed by Ewa Slusarczyk.

The event is supported by funds from the Local Government of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.
