Photo: Julia Marszewska Invisible Painting | We will be implementing another project from the Creative Europe program. You probably remember the “Invisible Image” project, with which we visited various corners of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Province last year. Using the example of a single image, we learned that visual arts can be experienced through different senses. The experience gained with “Invisible Painting” helped us prepare an application for a more extensive activity for the Creative Europe program. The application was rated very highly: it scored 94 out of 100 points. We thus received €200,000 for the implementation of the “Invisible Painting” project. This time, we will analyze various possibilities for experiencing abstract art. We want it to be accessible to blind and visually impaired people as equal co-creators, but also more engaging for all those who have so far felt excluded from traditional artistic discourse. Together with our partners: MuseoSpace from the Netherlands and Kulturni Dom Franca Bernika in Domžale (Slovenia), we will create a completely new way of experiencing art for the widest possible audience. The project will include:a sensory translation model that combines colors and shapes with sound, smell, texture, and even taste, an audio description methodology based on description, a publicly available set of tools for creating tactile graphics (typhlographics) supported by AI.We plan to publish the final results on an interactive educational platform. The model developed will be usable not only in culture-related projects, but also in education, mental health, and tourism. See more Exhaling.
