This time, however, she has decided to make her debut in the medium of photography. Although it is a peculiar debut, as the photographs on display were taken several decades ago. The title of the exhibition perfectly reflects its mood, theme, and atmosphere. Firstly, these photographs show a world that no longer exists: Turkish towns off the tourist trail, villages and suburbs of metropolises. The author portrays the people she meets: children, farmers at work, women absorbed in their daily lives, but she also does not shy away from a broader view of the Anatolian landscape or ancient monuments. On the other hand, the photographs are taken using a once common but rather exclusive technique, now almost forgotten, known as slides. The characteristic color palette of ORWOchrom UT-18 films has become another artistic medium here. During the closing ceremony, Grażyna Zielińska will talk about her adventure with photography, about Turkey as she remembers it from the 1980s, and about the advantages of documenting the past. After the closing ceremony, stay with us for a while and watch five short films by the artist, which are a kind of tribute to figures and events from times gone by.
