And you? What do you see? What are you looking at? Do you understand what they are flashing about?

Are they signs or gestures to you? Is this interpreter exaggerating?

Is he or she dancing? Is the interpreter stealing the show, or maybe just your gaze?

“Sign with a Tongue” – a play by the Contemporary Theater in Szczecin, will tell, among other things, about the reception of Polish sign language by hearing people. The creators of the show assume that it will be available on different levels of communication – movement, word, sign.

The performance will be accompanied by translation into Polish Sign Language.

Written and directed by Daniel Kotowski, dramaturgy, second director and script by Ala Kobielarz, set design by Piotr Michalski, costumes by Marko Saidov, sound by ROSZ, stage movement by Arkadiusz Buszko, light direction by Tomasz Grygier.

The play will feature (as a guest) Daniel Kotowski, Dominika Kozlowska, Szymon Dobosik, and Contemporary Theater actor Przemyslaw Walich.

The directors’ assistant is Marta Gosecka, who is also coordinating the entire project. Agnieszka Bastrzyk, a Polish sign language interpreter, will accompany the work on the event.

The performance is realized within the framework of the “singing/signing” project subsidized by PFRON.
