In May, as part of our “After the credits” series, we will move to a cinematic world created by Michal Kudla AKA Otto Tigre. We will experience three audiovisual projects:

1. “Old World”

An audiovisual treatise of creation, death and transience contained in frames we have experienced and worlds we do not remember. Mystique flowing through the repeated emanations and forms of nature, art and culture. The forms that the universe creates and those we create inspired by its element within us. The merging and interpenetration of worlds, speaking to us in an ancient cosmic language, the language of the movement of birds, water whirlpools, the imperceptible growth of plants and the subtle movement of their leaves. The gentle language of intuition we have yet to hear and transformations we are not looking at. Transformations caused by the movement of the planets. Also the language of hard, past and fossilized worlds. The negative is left behind.

The film shown through a wide-angle lens, macro and contemplation of out-of-focus, plasticity and impressionism contained in the imperfection we can finally afford. The selection of material is a journey through 8 years and 7 terabytes of film notes, traveling with the camera, going through past relationships, situations and emotions. The confrontation of worlds and the attitude of modern man toward nature completes the picture. So does the main theme of death. “The exposed truth of existence, without coloring, without fear.”

  • Time: 8 minutes
  • Music: Jachna/Mazurkiewicz/Buhl – Old World
2. “Emotions”

Wandering between worlds and the sensations of crossing their connections. A story of stepping out of the armor of frozen emotions. A borderline video and visualization interprets an amazing piece by the trio Jachna/Mazurkiewicz/Buhl.

  • Time: 9 minutes
  • Music: Jachna/Mazurkiewicz/Buhl – Emotions
3. “Look 22”

From an analysis of the synthesis and breeze of the city’s claustrophobia and the breath of the biosphere, a glimpse of the circularity of repetition has sprouted. A repetitive and predictable state that we experience more or less consciously with individual frameworks of time, space and incarnation. Charged with color with razor grace, acts of exodus beyond the cycle appear, emanating freedom and detachment from the circular cage.

The project is open-ended and this form of intuitive expression will be developed and nurtured by the author, certainly dreamily, alternating between abstract and figurative.

  • Time: 1.5 minutes
  • Music: Michal Kudla AKA Otto Tigre

Michal Kudla AKA Otto Tigre – cinematographer, editor and photographer. Enthusiast of space and the connections within it. Fascinated by the possibilities of image storytelling. Creator of dreamy moving and still images and photo shoots showing the essences of inspiring female energy. He has gained experience working with theaters in Lodz and Warsaw (Chorea Theater, Pinocchio Theater in Lodz, Dramatic Theater in Warsaw), fashion magazines (including Harper’s Bazaar Poland), the advertising industry (Papaya Films, 180heartbeats + JUNG v MATT), improvised music creators (many years of artistic collaboration with Jacek Mazurkiewicz) and sound producers (currently a new project with Valtow). He transforms the forms contained in the claustrophobia of the city and the breath of the biosphere into feature creations, documentaries and visualizations. His long-term collaborations with Sorry Boys and Bela Komoszyńska include the cover of the single “I’m going home” and the cover of the “Alternative Poland” playlists on Spotify. Based on a photo from the set of the “Apollo” music video, directed by Filip Tulak, Joanna Karpowicz created the image “Oh I Am Too Late,” printed in albums in 2020 and 2024.

After the screening, or more precisely after the closing credits, we will talk together with the filmmaker, who will talk about his artistic vision, creative process, inspirations and challenges he faced. It will also be a great opportunity to ask questions, exchange views and deepen your knowledge of the art of filmmaking.

If you are a filmmaker and would like to present your work, we encourage you to contact Grzegorz Kazmierski at e-mail: grzegorz.kazmierski@woak.pl or by phone: 609 662 968. We are looking for projects that bring a new perspective to the art of filmmaking and represent the wealth of talent in our region. We will show selected films during the following “After the credits” meetings. You will meet a discerning but friendly audience.

Selected films that were not presented at the 1st National Greenhouse Festival will be screened during our “After the credits” series.
