Our next topic will be volunteering in culture! We will consider together how we define volunteering, we will check if it can be done wisely and safely in cultural institutions. We will talk about the benefits it brings to volunteer individuals, institutions and organizations where it works. We will also look at good practices and models for working with volunteers. We will be joined by Bartosz Wierzchowski, who coordinates volunteering at Rothera Mills in Bydgoszcz – he will share his insights and talk about volunteering in a cultural institution. Bartosz Wierzchucki has been involved with the Mills from the very beginning. First of all, he takes care of the comfort of guests visiting the Mills, as well as participants in various events and exhibitions that take place within the walls of the institution. In addition, for almost a year he has been dedicatedly taking care of the Mill’s volunteers. As coordinator, he promotes volunteerism and introduces volunteer individuals to the life of the institution. Over the past year, he has worked with nearly 70 different people on more than a dozen major events and festivals. Since October, he has been working with volunteer individuals on long agreements – this has created a committed group of people actively involved in the daily life of Rothera Mills. Privately a Bydgoszcz resident, who always finds time to read the most varied interesting facts about the city. Enthusiast of photography and widely understood art. At the joint breakfast we discuss useful topics related to development, acquiring new skills and expanding competencies. The meetings feature industry experts and we end with open discussion and networking. It’s an opportunity to meet people facing challenges similar to yours, and a space to find solutions together.
