June 11 (Thursday), 6:00 p.m. | Paul Klee: The Chirping Machine | DKJo! Paul Klee is one of the most important artists of the first half of the 20th century. In his work, he developed ideas from various avant-garde movements, ranging from Cubism to Surrealism. His paintings are characterized, on the one hand, by compositional order and, on the other, by a poetic aura. During Thursday’s meeting of the One Painting Discussion Club, we’ll talk about “The Twittering Machine,” which Paul Klee painted in 1922. Is there a hidden warning there against technology enslaving nature? Or is it just the lament of an artist who has to adapt to the tastes of his audience? If you have other ideas, join us at the next DKJo meeting! We’ll start by exploring the painting’s historical and social context. Together with Łukasz Wudarski, we’ll analyze the work’s form and the unique oil transfer technique used by Paul Klee. And then there will be time for a free-flowing discussion, expressing opinions, and sharing impressions. read more See more Pilot Institutions in Change development program for cultural institutions from the region 17.01.2026 Compose music for a play | creative workshop 06.07.2026 20th Day: Julia Fidelus – a one-woman show 13.09.2026 | 16:00
