Actors’ workshops

Experienced director and educator Pawel Paszta will lead an acting workshop to develop role-building tools. Participants will also experience activities to help achieve synchronization in an ensemble, readiness and attentiveness on stage. The presenter will refer to various methods of working with actors, including the View Points training method, the Stanislavski method, the method of Jerzy Grotowski or Sanford Meisner. He will also suggest elements of various techniques of working with the body to use in the process of creating a character.

Pawel Paszta – director, educator. Doctor of Arts. In 2017-21 deputy artistic director of the Wilam Horzyca Theater in Torun, and deputy director of the Kontakt International Theater Festival and the First Contact Debutants Festival. Creator of the Kontakt Laboratory program of events around the repertoire of MFT Kontakt 2018. Since 2011, he has produced more than 25 theatrical performances, including plays based on classics, contemporary plays, 2 operas, a musical for children and tv theater.
In 2016, he completed a master class in film directing at the Wajda School, and in 2017 made his debut in TV theater as part of the Teatroteka series. The play Silent Night received three awards at the Teatroteka Fest in February 2018, as well as a Gold Remi award in the ‘dramatic original’ category at the Worlfest Houston Festival. He has also worked as an educator for many years, developing his own methods for guiding actors.
