Purchase of instruments for WOAK’s Vabank Orchestra (2024)

WOAK in Toruń from 30.04.2024 to 31.12.2024 is carrying out a task called: Purchase of instruments for the “Vabank” brass band of the Provincial Cultural Animation Center. By the end of the year, we will purchase instrumentation that will serve the orchestra during rehearsals and during concerts – both those carried out in the WOAK space and outdoor events. As part of the task, WOAK will purchase wind instruments and a high-end electric piano.

The WOAK’s Vabank Orchestra is an ensemble of more than forty orchestral players and orchestral players that has been operating at the Voivodeship Cultural Animation Center since 2023, when a new artistic ensemble under the baton of Waldemar Urbański was formed from the Brass Orchestra operating at the Voivodeship Cultural Animation Center and the Vabank Orchestra operating in Aleksandrów Kujawski. The conductor and instrumentalists are not afraid of musical and image experiments, surprising everyone when they deliberately break the traditional image of a brass band.

The total cost of the project Purchase of instruments for the “Vabank” brass band of the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation is PLN 102,100.

Co-financing from the funds of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund – state purpose fund Program Infrastructure of houses of culture amounts to 55,000 PLN.

Co-financing from funds from the public finance sector from the budget of the Local Government of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship amounts to PLN 47,100.00.

Subsidized from the funds of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund – state purpose fund.
