Listen to the whisper of Mirek Gurzyński’s posters | Gurzyński: The Last Exhibition

Until March 25, you can see an exhibition of film posters by Mirek Gurzyński on the ground floor of Młyn Kultury. Following in the footsteps of the most outstanding Polish poster artists, the author has created a set of graphics that are a record of emotions, impressions, and memories associated with the films he has seen. Although the posters were created over the last ten years, many of them refer to much older films, sometimes even from the 1960s. Each work is based on a subtle anecdote, sometimes easy to read, sometimes more deeply hidden in the plot of the film. At the same time, each poster can be a standalone work of art that could live its own life.

One of the pioneers of the Polish school of poster art used to say: “A poster should not shout, it should sing.” Mirek Gurzyński says that his posters do not even sing, but whisper. So listen carefully and be sure to see this exhibition. The exhibition “Gurzyński: The Last Exhibition” is organized as part of the Szklarnia Kujawy i Pomorze National Film Festival.

The Local Government of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province is a partner of the Szklarnia Kujawy i Pomorze National Film Festival.

The partners of OFF Szklarnia Kujawy and Pomorze are: Eko Goods and NRD.
