See the play Gorgon Syndrome by the NODOstage theater and find out for yourself. The starting point is the story of Medusa, one of the Gorgons. Through references to mythology, the team creates an ambiguous and non-obvious story about violence, rejection, transformation, and rebirth. The performance was created during a residency at WOAK as part of the Universal Art Design project. Since its premiere in August 2025, it has been presented in Warsaw and at the Kultur on Tour festival in Bremen, where it won the award for best screenplay, while Tatsiana Popova received the award for best leading actress. In February, Gorgon Syndrome was also seen by audiences in Padua during the Universal Art Design festival. The NODOstage theater group is made up of people from Belarus and Poland. The performance is in Russian with Polish subtitles.
