You can’t miss DKJo in October! This time, the discussion will revolve around a painting that will be physically displayed during the meeting. Courtesy of Marek Rissmann, an art collector from Toruń, you will be able to see Szymon Szumiński’s painting “Woman with a Puppet” “live.”

The conversation is sure to be inspiring. The painting can be viewed from a distance and up close, examining its texture, for example.

Szymon Szumiński is an artist whose legend is still alive in Toruń. He had a studio at 33 Szeroka Street, in the very center of the city, which meant that he had visitors almost all the time: artists, but also journalists from the IKP editorial office, which was located on the ground floor of the building. Despite the constant visits, he left behind many paintings. He developed his own distinctive style, recognizable at first glance.
