Discover for yourselves that photography is, above all, the art of seeing the world. The “Multiverses” exhibition presents as many as seventeen different perspectives. Throughout the season, photographers from the Flesz group have been working on artistic projects, the results of which you can view in the exhibition space on the ground floor of Młyn Kultury from June 24 to July 9.

The works on display are deeply personal. The artists view the world through a dual lens: the prism of their life experiences, diverse personalities, and sensibilities. Although the exhibition features photographs by 17 individuals, it is remarkably cohesive. The photographs are united by their honesty and courage in presenting their own vision of the world and, through that, in revealing themselves. The exhibition is curated by Justyna Musiał, artistic mentor of the Flesz photography group.

The exhibition’s authors write:

“One world, but many perspectives. Each perspective, with its own unique sensibility, captures what moves it. And the camera as a tool for capturing those movements. We may look at the same places, but each of us sees them differently. Filtered through our inner lens, our experience, and our personal history, they become a record of multiverses—a single world encapsulated in a multitude of perspectives. Among them lies the courage to share what delights us and what is important to us. Perhaps it will also become important to someone who sees it. Courage, like strands of mycelium, may eventually reach far and bear fruit in a completely distant time and place. Today, we dare to reveal our sensitivity, the places of wonder and emotion within us. With the hope that through experiencing the presented images, you will find sensitive places within yourselves as well. The exhibition is a record of projects that matured over the past year of photographic workshops, though in truth, they were written by life itself and by each of our perspectives shaped by it.”

The Flesz photography group, led by Justyna Musiał, has been active at the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation (WOAK) for three years. It brings together people passionate about artistic photography who, during their Wednesday meetings at WOAK, explore the secrets of portrait, street, photojournalism, and landscape photography.
