Toruń Photo Walks – Photo of the Year of Pomerania and Kujawy 2025 | opening and announcement of competition results

A dozen or so outdoor trips organized by Toruń Photo Walks to various corners of the region, hundreds of photos, three judges, and the result: Photo of the Year of Pomerania and Kujawy 2025! See the exhibition of the best photos of Pomerania and Kujawy 2025 and find out which one won the title of the best this year.

On Saturday, December 13, at 5:00 p.m., we invite you to WOAK for the announcement of the results of the Photo of the Year of Pomerania and Kujawy 2025 competition, combined with the opening of the post-competition exhibition. Meet the authors of these photos: a group of extraordinary people actively participating in Toruń Photo Walks. This year, the photos were judged by a jury consisting of Julia Marszewska, Joanna Piecyk, and Wojtek Szabelski. The selection was not easy, but each frame was carefully analyzed, so you can be sure that these are truly the Photos of the Year.

During the opening of the exhibition, the calendar “Castles and Palaces of Pomerania and Kujawy 2026,” edited by Zbyszek Filipiak, will be presented, featuring photographs by authors associated with Toruń Photo Walks.

Zbyszek Filipiak, president of the Toruń Photo Walks Association: “During the monthly outdoor sessions we organized in 2025, thousands of photographs were taken. This time, we visited Pakość, Kruszwica, Grebocin, Strzelno, Bydgoszcz, and several selected districts of Toruń, where we focused on specific topics. Over 300 photos were submitted to the jury for selection. It was a set of works distinguished in the permanent Photo of the Month competition and additionally published on our Facebook page. The jurors essentially acted as curators, selecting all the images for the exhibition and ensuring its consistency and character. This year’s awards remain a secret until the end and will be announced during the competition gala. Only one name is known in advance – Joanna Stepaniuk, who received the Audience Award for the highest number of votes in the internet poll.
