“The world is not enough” is a series of meetings where, in the form of an open discussion, we will talk together with migrants and migrant women, living permanently or temporarily in our region. During each discussion we will focus on one country or city, paying attention to stereotypes, which we will verify and compare with reality.

In April, we will meet Aimable Mugabo – an artist from Rwanda, currently living in Poland. He is currently studying at the Higher School of Banking in Torun. He often uses various renewable raw materials as material, such as old newspapers from which, with the help of modern techniques, he creates beautiful handicrafts. She creates her art in harmony with nature.

Aimable explores the concept of abstraction and tells his stories in a nostalgic way. In doing so, she explores the dynamics of beauty and imperfection. To do so, he uses a variety of shapes and colors, the composition of which allows him to overlook barriers to the reception of art. His work does not represent the real world. It is only an illusion that allows us to conjure up such a world in our imagination as we capture ourselves.

The meeting will be held in English and Polish.

The event’s partners are the Emic Foundation, WSB Merito University and the Copernicus Integration Center at UMK.
