We begin meetings as part of the Invisible Image project Art can be explored and contemplated through different senses. Such is the project “Invisible Image | Art Discussion Series”. As part of the project, a series of meetings, multi-sensory discussions about paintings from the collection of Toruń’s District Museum will be held throughout the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region. The meetings are an innovative development of the DKJo concept! – Discussion Club of One Picture. This time, participants get to know the painting through touch (through tiffographs and props with distinct haptic features), smell, taste and hearing (through both audiodescription and sound background). The meetings are led by Lukasz Wudarski, an art historian, and Artur Bylinski, a community activist breaking language barriers related to blindness on the Becoming Blind Tutorials channel. The first meeting in WOAK on Thursday, September 19 at 17:30, followed by others in Bydgoszcz, Włocławek, Brześć Kujawski and Sępólno Krajeńskie. The last meeting of the series is again in Toruń, this time at the District Museum. project website The organizer of the project is the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation. The partner of the event is the District Museum in Torun. The project was co-financed by the European Network of Cultural Centers as part of the Up Grants 2024 project.
