Invisible image | meetings in the region

We are starting meetings within the framework of the “Invisible Image” project! Art can be discovered in many ways, using different senses. In the “Invisible Image | Art Discussion Series” project, we are organizing a series of meetings throughout the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region that will allow you to discover the mysterious image using senses other than sight. The meetings are an innovative development of the DKJo concept! – Discussion Club of One Picture. During them we will talk about the painting from the District Museum in Toruń, using different senses, such as touch (tiffographs and objects with distinct tactile features), smell (smells of objects from the painting), taste (we will check how they taste!) and hearing (thanks to audiodescription and sound background referring to the painting).
The meetings will be led by Łukasz Wudarski, an art historian, and Artur Bylinski, a self-advocate dedicated to breaking down barriers related to blindness on the Becoming Blind Tutorials channel.
The first meeting was held at WOAK, the next:

  • September 26 – Center for Culture and Arts in Sepolno Krajenskie.
  • October 3 – Rothera Mills Science and Culture Center in Bydgoszcz
  • October 10 – Cultural Center “Browar B”
  • October 16 – Brest Center for Culture and History “Wahadło”
  • October 22 – District Museum in Toruń

The organizer of the project is the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation.

The partner of the event is the District Museum in Toruń.

The project was co-financed by the European Network of Cultural Centers within the framework of the Up Grants 2024 project.
