These workshops are for you! Join us for a five-day theater and music workshop. Together, let’s play with different theatrical techniques and musical practices. Theatrically, we will focus on working with a stage partner, learn about theater games and create creative, imaginative etudes together. In the music workshop, on the other hand, you will learn how to make music with your voice, using the beatbox technique. Did you know that from simple sounds you can create a unique musical quality? You will also learn music mixing techniques: from the simplest to the most advanced, learn how to properly connect a DJ system to a sound system and how to take full advantage of its capabilities. For whom: People aged 12-15 who are interested in theater, music and want to spend their holiday time creatively. When and where: 19-23.02.2024, 10:00-15:00 pm Provincial Center for Culture Animation in Torun (75-77 Kościuszki St., Torun). The organizer does not provide food for participants. Fee: PLN 245. Registration lasts until February 5 – order of ticket purchase applies. The condition of the workshop is that the minimum number of participants must be gathered. Presenters: Ola Matuszewska – a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Torun, currently a second degree student of cultural studies. For years she has been involved in amateur theaters, but not only. For 2 years she was a member of the Young Theater, and currently conducts theater workshops for this very group. She has repeatedly conducted theater workshops in elementary and high schools. On a daily basis she works at the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation in Toruń as a specialist in cultural animation. Tomasz Cebo – graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan. From 2003 to 2013 he ran the art club “enerde” in Torun, as its co-owner and artistic director. From 2008 to 2013 he was an artist and co-creator of the interdisciplinary project Institute B61. He moves in the areas of audio installation and performance, using the possibilities of his own voice. He touches on the problems of space-time in the context of sound as the movement of air that makes communication possible.
