Event for ages 15 and up

The second day of the festival deepens the encounter with short films and the diversity of narratives created by independent filmmakers. It is a time when viewers can fully immerse themselves in formal experiments, documentary stories, and animations that allow them to see the world through the eyes of the authors.

The program for this day combines bold ideas, subtle observations, and humor, sometimes surprising with unexpected shortcuts in thought or form. Each film offers a separate perspective, and bringing them together in one evening creates a mosaic of contemporary Polish short film.

Four films will be screened, each followed by a conversation with the filmmakers, moderated by Anna Bielak. It is a space for joint reflection and asking questions about the creative process, inspirations, and artistic choices.

“The Club” directed by Kamil Śleszyński, documentary film, duration: 22 minutes and 25 seconds

A documentary story about a group of disabled fans of Jagiellonia Białystok who faithfully follow their team during the 2024/2025 season. Despite architectural barriers, logistical difficulties, and everyday limitations associated with wheelchair use, they do not give up on their passion. This is a story about the power of community, loyalty, and love for soccer, which can overcome any obstacle.

“Make It Before Christmas Eve” directed by Kamil Mrozowski, feature film, duration: 18 minutes

Before Christmas Eve, Kuba wants only one thing—to meet up with Alicja, his childhood friend. But with endless chores from his mother and the holiday chaos in full swing, even such a simple plan begins to seem almost impossible.

“Student Tango” directed by Mateusz Rzepka, documentary film, duration: 12 minutes

A portrait of a group of friends studying art. While enjoying seemingly carefree moments, they try to define what youth means to them and share their fears and dreams.

The film contains scenes of smoking and drinking alcohol.

“Talk to Me” directed by Yulia Tabenska, animation, duration: 2 minutes and 49 seconds

“Talk to Me” is a short stop-motion animation, adapted from an original picture book. The film depicts the difficult topic of depression in the family through the eyes of a child who observes his mother’s changing behavior, tries to understand it, and finds ways to support her, sometimes taking on some of the responsibility himself.

The film addresses the topics of depression and mental health.
