A unique evening around the music of Kujawy presented by two bands: Spod Strzechy performing authentic folk songs and Panieneczki presenting folklore in a contemporary way.

Tickets at PLN 20 concessionary/ PLN 30 regular.

The Maidenettes began their musical explorations in Kujawy, hence their music is mainly associated with this region. In the Kujawy folk songs, which they interpreted in a modern, appropriate way, there are still current topics: maturation, marriage, longing for lost innocence, humorous flirtatious motifs, broadly defined male-female issues. At the concert we will hear melodies of the Kuyavian land, laced with a fair amount of electronic (synthesizers) and acoustic (violin and double bass) sounds, which they have included in two EPs titled “The Stories Heard at the Village”. “Tales heard in the village” (parts 1 and 2). There will also be songs from other regions of Poland, such as the Rzeszow region. The Maidens are currently working on the release of their next album.

The band consists of: Irena Filuś, Aga Gruczek, Kasia Schmidt-Przeździecka, Justyna Mikrut.

Support: Spod Strzechy
