My first space odyssey

“My First Space Odyssey” is a multisensory journey through the amazing Cosmos. Children up to 24 months of age are invited to participate.

Children will experience the richness of the universe through the senses of sight, hearing, touch, movement, balance and deep sensation. They will visit a distant galaxy and touch the stars. They will listen to mysterious cosmic music and dance with the aurora borealis. They will walk along the milky way and meet a black hole. They will dance, roll, jump and explore the unknown. There will also be time for a calming rest. No words are used in the performance.

“My First Space Odyssey” is a story about first steps, the extraordinary power of curiosity and the cosmos that permeates us.

The play was created as part of a project supported by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.

Some tips before the performance:

1. Our building is the first from Kosciuszko Street, followed by the Taste Mill, the Incubator and the Knowledge Mill. There are two entrances to the building. The main entrance is from Lokietka Street and the second entrance is from Dworcowa Street, opposite Mio Piano.
2. You can also use our parking lot – in the back, behind the Knowledge Mill and the bus parking lot, accessed from Lokietka Street.
3. The building has an elevator and toilets with a changing table. Conveniently drive to the 4th floor, where you will find a checkroom and can leave the stroller.
4. In the lobby on the 5th floor and in the performance space you are not allowed to use phones and other devices that record video and sound. You will leave them in special bags. We want our space odyssey together to be a time of relationship building. Let’s spend time truly together.
5. Please leave your shoes before entering the 5th floor lobby.
6. We have prepared special items for children in the 5th floor lobby in front of the performance space to help them get used to the new space.
7. We do not take home toys, snacks and lobby items into the performance space.
8. Dear moms, you can breastfeed your baby during the performance. However, if feeding in public is uncomfortable for you, you can use the specially prepared room number 510.
9. In one scene we use edible glitter. The glitter may settle on body parts or clothes.
