The little girl is impatiently waiting for the resurrection of her dad and the end of the war, fully convinced of her own and her mother’s immortality. To make the time of this waiting more interesting, the little one learns to read, fly, understand the language of plants and unicorns, and takes vocal lessons from African elephants. During her trips to Africa, she leaves one of her many doubles instead, so that her mother won’t worry about her sudden disappearance. The girl wants to understand this strange world and its Creator, so she is very interested in astronomy and religious studies. – She uses a vocabulary beyond her several years of age,” a child psychiatrist tells her mother. I wrote a novel about this girl and her mother, in which I presented a child’s surprising perspective on a variety of issues affecting our lives, difficult in some ways even for adults: xenophobia and tolerance, life and death, war and understanding, religion and science, feminism, children’s rights, mental health and many others. Despite the difficult experiences of the heroines and the difficult topics they discuss, there is a lot of hope, faith and love for life in all its forms between the lines.
