An intimate story about creative crisis – a meeting with Maciej Buchwald | OFF Szklarnia Kujawy and Pomerania

Sometimes, creative work comes to a standstill. Fatigue, doubts, questions about the meaning of continuing. During our meeting with Maciej Buchwald, we will try to take a closer look at these moments – without rushing and without ready-made answers.

This is a conversation about creation and breaks in creation. About finding your own path, changes that come with time, and how to deal with pressure, expectations, and your own ambitions. The meeting will not be a lecture or a summary of a career, but a space for reflection and exchange of experiences.

This meeting is for everyone who is curious about the behind-the-scenes of creative work – regardless of whether they create themselves or simply want to listen to an honest conversation about a process that is rarely simple.

Maciej Buchwald – graduated in journalism from the University of Warsaw, theater studies from the Theater Academy, and film directing from the Film School in Łódź. Author of films and music videos (including for Mata, Pustki, Belmondoawg, Szczyla, Oki, Krzysztof Zalewski, Rasmentalism, Jazzband Młynarski/Masecki, Mr D, and O.S.T.R). He has won awards at Polish and international film festivals (including the Grand Prix of the Short Film Competition at the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia). Director, screenwriter, comedian, co-founder and member of the Klancyk Improvisational Theater. In 2023, he made his debut with the comedy series “1670” on Netflix. He is currently working on his feature-length debut.
