II OFF “Greenhouse” | The road to debut – Paweł Maślona | meeting and film screenings.

During the meeting we will listen to Paweł Maślona’s story about the beginnings of his artistic path. Today he is a well-known director, winner of the most important Polish film awards, but after all, it was not always so. Find out what came before, what shaped Paweł Maślona artistically, how his creative development proceeded starting from his directing studies at the Film School in Katowice. During the meeting, you will see very rarely shown Pawel Maślona’s earliest films – the etudes that preceded his debut feature “Panic Attack.”

Pawel Maślona – director and screenwriter. He graduated in political science from Jagiellonian University in Cracow and in directing from the Film School in Katowice. His latest film “KOS”, a bravura revenge film loosely inspired by the figure of Tadeusz Kosciuszko, brought him, among other awards: the Golden Lion Award at the 48th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, as well as the Passport of Polityka in the FILM category, and the Polish Film Award ORZEŁ for Directing. Pawel has already attracted a lot of attention with his award-winning directorial debut “ATAK PANIKI,” which had its international premiere at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in 2018. Paul has also directed series: “MOTIVE” for TVN and ”WRITERS. SERIAL NA KRÓTKO 2” for Canal+ Poland. He is also the co-author of the screenplay for the film “DEMON” by Marcin Wrona and the unrealized film “MORD,” whose script became the basis for the second season of the series “ROJST” directed by Jan Holoubek.
