We propose a new meaning:

fajansiara #fajansiarz – a person who likes to dress colorfully, is not afraid of patterns and interesting combinations. Come and take a professional photo on the faience wall with a hashtag and then post it on Instagram.

2nd stand: Interactive Faience Center – Faience Treasury, ul. Żabia 2

15.00-18.00 Through the keyhole – interactive installation

What secrets does the room of the painter of the Włocławek Faience Factory hide?
The installation will allow you to enter our idea of a room from the 1960s and 1970s, which combines realistic objects with fantastic elements. Here you can touch everything, look into every drawer, listen to a selected vinyl record, sit in an armchair in front of the TV and immerse yourself in a different world.

Accessibility: tactile materials, subtitles for the hearing impaired (17:00-17:30 – Tour of the installation Through the Keyhole for people with visual disabilities)

14:00-15:30 What a blast! – family creative workshops

16:00 Crumbs of faience – screening of a documentary film and a social mosaic

The documentary film “Fragments of Faience” shows the stories hidden beneath faience objects. It is a record of the route from Toruń to Włocławek, during which Kasia Łyszkowska – a visual artist – together with people she met, created a social mosaic from broken fragments of old and unnecessary faience.

It is a story full of sentiment for the past, carried by objects. This is a story about giving them a second life.

The creator of the film is Grzegorz Kaźmierski.

Accessibility: subtitles for the hearing impaired

Location:
Cultural Center “Browar B.” street Łęgska 28

17:00-18:00 What a blast! – creative workshops for adults

Workshops “What fun!” is a combination of various artistic and creative techniques, thanks to which we will explore the associations associated with the word “faience” and its derivatives and try to transform this word into something completely new and unique. Creating the persona of fajansiary and fajarsiarza will help us better understand how this word can be interpreted. Together we will think about the validity of these associations, then we will create new meanings and fantasize about this word.

18:00 Faience Girls – performative reading

Painters, designers, secretaries – work in the Faience Factory was mainly done by women. For several weeks, we collected and recorded their stories to create a theater script.

Reading will show you what it was like to work at the Factory and what relationships existed between its employees. We will tell you about what they faced on a daily basis – about pleasant and unpleasant things. About funny and sad situations. We will also touch on the emotions that accompanied women following the closure of the Factory in 1991.

The script will be performed by Jola Teska – an actress of the Horzyca Theater – and she will be accompanied by a choir of women – amateur actresses from Toruń and the surrounding area.

Script: Iwona Konecka based on the stories of painters from Fajans in Włocławek and their relatives
