Additional information

Participation in the project is free of charge.

If you work at a cultural institution in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Province and are involved in designing and organizing events and workshops, this project is for you!

The Grzybnia Association and the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation invite you to participate in the “Culturally Sensitive Home” development program.

What is a culturally sensitive home?

  • One that is open to all residents, including people with experience of migration and refugee status.
  • One that does not perpetuate stereotypes about cultures in its activities.
  • One where the staff are familiar with global education and know how to educate about contemporary global challenges.
  • One that does not perpetuate a Eurocentric perspective.
  • One in which employees are familiar with the basics of anti-discrimination education and are able to respond to discriminatory situations.

The program consists of four 6-hour workshops during which you will gain knowledge, skills, and practical tools to use in your work.

The training sessions will take place on:

September 16 (Tuesday),

October 2 (Thursday),

October 28 (Tuesday),

November 20 (Thursday),

from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation in Toruń.

We do not reimburse travel expenses. Lunch and a coffee break will be provided during each meeting.

Who is it for?

The project is aimed at employees of cultural institutions. We especially invite people living in towns with up to 50,000 inhabitants – they will be given priority during recruitment. In the event of high interest in the project, we will invite one person from each institution.
