The paths of a smug aunt, a beloved cousin and a charming nephew intersect in a strange house in a small Spanish town on the night before All Saints’ Day. Aspiring doctor Enrique returns to his family home with his fiancée, and right from the doorstep is caught up in a web of intrigue. The smell of coffee and an approaching storm is in the air… What is the entire Spanish family ready for as they await an inheritance? Why are the women of Badajoz intimidated by a creature? Everything will be so shocking that it’s laughable!

And do you prefer coffee with milk or… without? Together with the UMK Student Theater “Antrakt”, we invite you to the premiere of the play “Potassium Cyanide”, which will be held on April 6 and 7 at 18:00 at WOAK.

UMK Student Theater “Antrakt” was founded in 2022 and operates at the Student Theater Circle. Currently, the group has about twenty students from various UMK faculties, who are responsible for choreography, music and production, as well as being actors in the prepared performances. The theater has filled the auditoriums of Toruń’s “Od nowa” four times, presenting original performances: “Secret History” and “Legend of Crimson,” as well as performing at last year’s KLAMRA Alternative Theater Meetings, among others. This year, for the second time, “Antract” took an active part in the “Night of Culture at Maius”. The theater is not slowing down proving that cultural activity among students is not dying at all.

The event was realized thanks to the support of the Municipality of Torun, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun and the UMK Student Theater Circle.
