Builders | premiere performance

They educated local communities. They treated and taught how to take care of health. They created cultural centers, village housewives’ circles. They conducted sports activities. They inspired. They gave hope and showed other women that more was possible. It was thanks to them that many a girl believed in herself and realized her dreams.

Builders – ordinary-ordinary women living in small towns who sacrificed their lives for their communities, often at the expense of their families and private lives.

The play tells specific stories, seeking in their diversity a universal dimension and an answer to the question of our identity.

The event is held as part of the Festival of Forgotten Cultures: Female Builders. Herstories of Courageous Womenco-financed by funds from the Local Government of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.

The event is part of the celebration of the Year of Brave Women.
