As they say, it is a combination of concert, theatrical performance and interactive game. The slogan of this multi-faceted event is Industry Plant. And with their action, the artists want to make us reflect on the contemporary music industry and its manipulations. By participating in the artistic immersion, you can influence its course by choosing the directions in which the performance will take place. It is your decisions that will shape the course of the event. Bartek Kuniński (biaerti) and Miłosz Michniewicz (milomenino) have been publishing music solo for about five years. In addition, Miłosz has been working with sound for 3 years and has also been involved in photography and film art for many years. Bartek, on the other hand, is successful in the world of poetry slams. Their paths crossed a year ago, and their joining of forces has resulted in the launch of a number of ambitious music and social projects that are currently being worked on.Artistic Immersion: the Industry Plant – is a foretaste of the fruits of our labour, into which we have put a lot of heart and commitment. Creative Ferment is a project thanks to which young artists from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship receive support in the organisation of their events – concerts, performances, exhibitions, literary evenings, etc.Creative Ferment was created to open cultural institutions to debuting artists from the region and to give them a chance to show their art to a wider audience. It is an opportunity for the young community to get to know each other and to inspire each other. Before you delve into the reality of artistic immersion, read the introduction to our activity. Artistic immersion: the Industry Plant This is a combination of concert, theatre performance and interactive game in one, offering the audience an artistic experience as well as a deep reflection on the current state of the music industry. It has only just begun to sprout, and it is already withering… “Industry Plant” in the context of the music industry is often used to describe an artist who is promoted and portrayed as self-developed and independent, while behind the scenes they receive significant support from the record label whose product they become. This is an artist ‘planted’ by the music industry in order to gain popularity and bring secretly as much profit as possible for the publisher. Artists vs. the Industry A mysterious man called α𝄞Ω representing the music industry has decided to organise a competition in which he intends to elevate the winning artist to the top. Along with other artists, biaerti and milomenino received an invitation and decided to take part in the competition in the hope that it would boost their careers and add fuel to the fire that was already dying out – the fire of hope for fame. The event can be likened to a matrioshka. Here we will hear two seemingly disparate performances by two artists, which in time will merge into a single and coherent story. Is it current to say that the most beautiful flowers take time to ripen, when only the splashed ones gain (in the cards) time? biaerti: Melody of Authenticity vs. Statistics biaerti is an artist whose work is no stranger to in-depth and authentic explorations of the human psyche and life experience. His creations, which are a mixture of pain, sadness and reverie, offer those who open themselves up to it a space for reflection and empathy. A challenging lyricism that transcends all that is conventional, it is designed to leave listeners with the need to answer the questions they ask themselves.During her performance, she will tell you a personal, coherent story made up of the incoherent, torn shreds of her work, using multiple media. At the same time, he will persist with the hope that α𝄞Ω will not point out the shortcomings of commerciality and pragmatism in his works with a confused head scratching. Should art sell or provoke discussion? milomenino: Industrial Revolt in Three Acts milomenino is an artist who fearlessly balances the boundaries of diverse genres, showing that music is a space free of constraints and rigid frameworks. Known for his unpredictability, which just as often results in social commentary as it does in a depiction of his own reflections and experiences, and sometimes in a loose play on words, irony or satire. Milo relies on one thing – originality and the experience of the audience. In the course of the performance, he will have to wrestle with α𝄞Ω to preserve his individuality, fighting against a programmable approach to music making, while rebelling against digital supremacy becomes a form of supreme expression. The audience of the performance will be drawn to this rebellion. As a participant, you will have a real impact on its course, choosing the directions of the performance. Your decisions will shape the course of the event. Is it possible to free yourself from the invisible strings of the music industry?
