Attending this concert is a great opportunity to celebrate the anniversary moment, listen to unforgettable songs and celebrate together half a century of activities for culture, art and the community. The orchestra will be accompanied by Julia Kochanowska-Magierska and Mateusz Wisniewski. The Brass Band of the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation was founded in 1987, with Zenon Studziński and Marek Kubiak as its first artistic supervisors. From 1990 to 2004, the orchestra’s Kapellmeister was Edward Ceglarek, and it was mainly due to his efforts that the band reached a high artistic level. In 2004, Jerzy Derkowski took over the artistic direction and held the position until the end of 2022. During this time, the orchestra repeatedly took part in regional and supra-regional competitions and reviews, more than once winning the highest laurels. The orchestra has performed throughout Europe, including in: Denmark, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia and Belgium. The WOAK Vabank Orchestra has been operating at the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation since 2023, when a new artistic ensemble under the baton of Waldemar Urbański was formed from the Brass Band operating at the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation and the Vabank Orchestra operating in Aleksandrów Kujawski. Neither the bandmaster nor the instrumentalists are afraid of musical and image experiments. They surprise everyone when they deliberately break the traditional image of a brass band. Each concert of the ensemble is an appreciation of avant-garde artistic activities and the joy of making music together.WOAK’s Vabank Orchestra will play for you in the lineup:Kapellmeister: Waldemar Urbański Flutes: Justyna Błacha, Hanna Taruć, Dobrosława Wierzbowska, Katarzyna Demska, Karolina Adamska, Kamil “Filip” Miliński, Zuza Kaszyńska Clarinets: Agata Klemp, Marlena Sygit-Walkusz, Ivan Ostapowych, Wiktor Chlebowski Saxophones: Katarzyna Stalkowska, Lidia Gajek, Ewa Taruć, Anna Kowalewska, Karolina Skopińska, Jakub Brudz, Karolina Ziółkowska, Michał Sobociński, Michał Kurtyka, Bogusław Kurtyka, Krzysztof Opaliński, Mirosław Ciarkowski, Marcel Walerych Trumpets: Julia Taruć, Arkadiusz Taruć, Tomasz Izydorczyk, Jerzy Durbacz, Sławomir Tutak, Piotr Pacek French horn: Zosia Jezierska Trombones: Jozef Czechowski, Piotr Walerych, Mariusz Augustyn, Sakshorny: Marek “Soltys” Buszka, Paweł Koziński, Roman Frątczak, Katarzyna Dembska Tubas: Krzysztof Strzemeski, Julian Trzeciak Bass guitar: Wojciech Klemp Percussion instruments: Grzegorz Sygit, Robert Maria Jasik See more Exhaling.
