“Threads of Tradition, Weaves of Generations” is a cultural and educational project aimed at protecting and promoting the intangible cultural heritage of the Kuyavian region through activities involving the local community. At the heart of the initiative are two handicraft techniques: Kuyavian embroidery and tatting. The activities serve not only to pass on knowledge, but also to build social bonds and support intergenerational integration.

The project involves the organization of creative workshops led by folk artists associated with the “Supełek” Artistic Handicraft Group operating at the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation: Teresa Buczyńska, Małgorzata Barnat, Danuta Piotorowicz, and Teresa Kurto.

The workshops will be held in nine municipal cultural centers in towns with up to 15,000 inhabitants located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Province. The 10th and final meeting will take place at the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation in Toruń.

The initiative is carried out in the spirit of promoting local heritage, social activation, and supporting folk art. Through the practical involvement of participants, the project strengthens the sense of cultural identity, emphasizes the value of tradition in contemporary life, and inspires its creative continuation.
