September 24, 6:30 p.m. | Andrew Dwojnych “Mazovian Switzerland” | wKoło literatury

The Skrwa River splits the two provinces of Kuyavia-Pomerania and Mazovia. At the same time, it connects two historical regions: the Dobrzyń Land, which lies on the western side, and Mazovia, which extends to the east. Learn about the history of the unusual region, called Mazovian Switzerland. You can find it in Andrzej Dwojnych’s book “Mazovian Switzerland, or where the Mississippi flows into the Vistula.” In it, the author collected stories and memories of local residents: he listened, took notes, collected photographs and documents.

Be with us at the next meeting of the series wKoło literatury Wednesday, September 24 at 6:30 pm and meet the author of this remarkable project. Andrew Dwojnych is a doctor of humanities: a researcher of social life and history, a religious scholar. Above all, however, he is fascinated by his small homeland, and an expression of this fascination is the book “Mazovian Switzerland”.

The meeting will be hosted by Aldona Nocna – regionalist, publicist and photographer associated with Ciechocinek; author of scientific and popular articles, guides to the resort.
