The performance of “Builders” | February 7-9, 2025. Get to know the herstories of courageous women. We would like to invite you to the play “Female Builders” directed by Pawel Paszta. In the near future, the play is playing on Friday, February 7 at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 8 at 6:00 pm and Sunday, February 9 at 5:00 pm in the WOAK auditorium. “Female Builders,” directed by Pawel Paszta, is an intimate performance about women who, by changing their immediate environment, made the world around us a better place. They selflessly engaged in the life of the local community, built or sometimes repaired relationships between residents. Among them is an Olympic champion, there is a quack… There are also many other women who are remembered by only a few villagers and towns in the region. Memories of them are increasingly fading, although some heroines were deliberately erased from the chronicles. We decided to preserve the memory of these women and their achievements. The script of the performance was based on field interviews in a dozen or so towns in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region: from Kociewie to Kujawy, from Dobrzyń Land to Pałuki. The show was directed by Pawel Paszta, and stars Marta Parfieniuk-Bialowicz and Grazyna Rutkowska-Kusa. The performance was created as part of the Second Festival of Forgotten Cultures “Female Builders. Herstories of courageous women”.
