National Film Festival SZKLARNIA

Do you love cinema? Do you create films? Or are you looking for inspiration on how to start your adventure in cinematography? Mark the dates 28.02-2.03.2025 in your calendar today. In late February and early March, we will once again meet at the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation to watch films together, discuss, exchange experiences, network, deepen our knowledge and polish our filmmaking skills!

The idea behind the National Greenhouse Film Festival is to create a supportive filmmaking environment. There are no juries, awards and judging, instead you can count on constructive feedback, knowledge from experts and discussion of your ideas.

How can you participate in the festival?

• As an active filmmaker/creator – submit your film!
• As a workshop participant/participant – check out the program* and find meetings for yourself, learn new filmmaking perspectives and get inspired!
• As an audience – watch films by young female and male authors, meet them live and discuss their work, and participate in the accompanying events!

Call for films for the Greenhouse Film Festival starts today

Get your cameras and imagination ready – Greenhouse is waiting for your stories that you are creating! Or maybe you already have a finished film you want to show? Submit it by January 20, 2025!

People making feature films, documentaries, reports, animations, experimental films and innovative visual productions (except music videos) are encouraged to participate in the review. We will show the most interesting productions on the big screen, giving young male and female filmmakers a chance to present them before a wide audience. In addition, each person whose film is selected for film review during the Festival will receive:

• a three-day festival pass for participation in film workshops and accompanying events (with accommodation),
• individual consultation of your future project with an expert/expert.

The National Film Festival Szklarnia, organized by WOAK, is intended for people over the age of 15 from all over Poland, those who are taking their first steps in the world of film, as well as those who have made their debut productions, but still do not make a full living from the art they create.

Recruitment schedule:

• January 20, 2025 (until 11:59 pm) – deadline for complete film submissions,
• January 28, 2025 – announcement of the results of the call for entries,
• February 28-March 2, 2025 – presentation of selected films during the
• National Greenhouse Film Festival.

What else awaits you during the festival’s three days?

The Greenhouse Film Festival is not only about screenings and discussions with filmmakers and filmmakers. If you are just beginning your adventure with cinema or looking for inspiration, you can join workshops led by our experts. This is an opportunity to gain practical skills, deepen your knowledge of the art of filmmaking and make friends with other creative people, full of passion and fascinated by the world of cinema.

• The Greenhouse Film Festival program will be announced in early December, at which time sales of festival tickets and passes will begin.
