“From Thread and Heart” Exhibition by the Supełek Club Artistic Handicraft Group

Discover the latest works by the artists of the “Klub Supełek” Artistic Handicraft Group. Experience the charm of delicate tatting, as well as Kuyavian embroidery and styles inspired by other regions of Poland. The artists draw on the traditions of artistic handicrafts, yet create entirely new, original, and unique forms.

For over 40 years, the group’s specialty has been shuttle lace—tatting. The artists from “Supełek” not only preserve this technique but also develop and popularize it. They create new patterns and support one another in their artistic explorations.

The club has been operating continuously for 46 years. Every Tuesday, in a women’s circle, intricately woven compositions full of detail and expression are created. When Wanda Malczewska began teaching ten apprentices of this craft in 1979, it was hard to predict that she would start a tradition carried on by successive generations of women who proudly call themselves “Supełki.”

The artists’ works are presented at fairs, festivals, and exhibitions throughout Poland, where they have won numerous awards and honors.

The exhibition features works created in recent months, including tablecloths, table runners, collars, holiday decorations, greeting cards, bookmarks, and decorative lace appliqués.
