Golden Mills of Kujawsko-Pomorskie: Cultural Animation Awards | Submissions

We are now accepting nominations for individuals and teams for the fourth edition of the Golden Mills – the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Cultural Animation Awards – in the following categories:

a) Cultural Animator of the Year – the Agnieszka Dąbrowska Award

An award presented by the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province.

In this category, you may nominate cultural animators working both within and outside cultural institutions who, through their cultural activities, influence local communities and bring about social change.

b) Hope for Cultural Animation

An award under the patronage of the Chairperson of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Provincial Assembly.

In this category, you may nominate cultural animators aged 35 or younger, working both within and outside cultural institutions, who introduce new, original approaches to cultural animation.

c) Team

In this category, teams of at least three people working in cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations, or informal groups that jointly create cultural activities (excluding artistic ensembles) may be nominated.

d) Cultural Manager

Award of the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province.

In this category, nominations may be submitted for individuals managing cultural institutions or non-governmental organizations, namely directors, deputy directors, and presidents.

The award consists of:

a) the Golden Mill statuette
b) a cash prize.

The purpose of the award is to recognize individuals who, on a daily basis, create or support cultural activities by working in cultural institutions, operating within non-governmental organizations, or participating in informal groups.

We want to recognize people who, among other things, bring local communities together, inspire residents to create, stimulate creativity, and include those excluded from social life—in short, people who, through culture, are making a difference in their communities.

The award may only be granted to individuals, teams, and organizations operating within the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.

How to submit a nomination?

Anyone can submit a nomination—a colleague, a resident, people participating in cultural activities, local authorities, officials, and even the person being nominated.

To do so, please fill out the nomination form available online by June 14.

Before filling out the form, please read the rules and the detailed description of the categories:

Jury:

The results of the competition will be determined by a four-member jury composed of representatives of the cultural community from across the province:

• Sylwia “Luka” Drozdowska – cultural organizer, leader of inclusive social initiatives, co-founder of DomKultury! Bydgoskie Przedmieście and the Fabryka UTU Foundation, creator of the original project “Department of Sensitivity”
• Agata Kubajka – director of the Brzesko Center for Culture and History Wahadło
• Dariusz Kurzawa – member of the Board of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province,
• Łukasz Wudarski – director of the Provincial Center for Cultural Animation

Contest details:

1. Submission of entries via the online form: through June 14, 2026
2. Selection of nominees in each category: through July 17, 2026
3. Selection of winners and award ceremony during the Golden Mills Gala: October 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. during the 4th Kujawsko-Pomorskie Culture Congress.

The awards in the categories of Animator of the Year and Cultural Manager of the Year
are presented by Piotr Całbecki, Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province.

The award in the “Hope for Cultural Animation” category was presented under the honorary patronage
of Elżbieta Piniewska, Chairwoman of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Provincial Assembly.
