Are you a teacher or instructor who knows students interested in artistic development and applying to art colleges (e.g., art academies, music schools, theater schools, film schools)?

Artlab is an artistic laboratory where students gain knowledge, contacts, and confidence to get started right away.

Artlab is a unique one-day event for young people that combines meetings with artists, portfolio consultations with university lecturers, creative development workshops, and information about art studies.

Why is it worth it? What will participants gain?

  • Feedback from professionals
  • Through portfolio consultations with artists and university lecturers, students will learn what works and what needs improvement.  Students will receive individual guidance on what to develop and how to prepare for recruitment.
  • Knowledge about available opportunities
  • Students will learn what scholarships, programs, and funds are available to young artists and how to apply for them step by step.
  • Direct contact with universities
  • Meetings with representatives and supervisors of art departments at universities will give students an insight into the realities of studying and the challenges facing candidates.
  • Network of contacts
  • This is an opportunity to exchange experiences and meet other young people who, like the participants, are looking for their artistic path.
  • Inspiration from those who have already walked this path
  • A panel with well-known artists from various fields of art will show that even when starting in a small town, it is possible to operate on a large scale.
  • A realistic action plan
  • Creative development workshops, from self-presentation and dream mapping to a realistic action plan.
  • First-hand knowledge
  • Meetings with people who have recently been accepted to art colleges will allow you to learn about their experiences and get practical tips from the “front line.”

Who is it for?

For secondary school students, both those who dream of studying art and those who simply want to develop their creativity. We especially welcome people who come from smaller towns (up to 20,000 inhabitants) or from families experiencing economic hardship – they will be given priority during recruitment.

Who can you report?

A student or group of students interested in artistic development and applying to higher art schools. The project is particularly aimed at young people from towns with up to 20,000 inhabitants or from families experiencing economic hardship, in order to equalize their chances of access to professional art education.

Students who apply take part in the project only under the supervision of a teacher or instructor.

How to apply?

By completing the application form HERE

We are waiting for applications until October 31, 11:59 p.m. Secondary schools can register students individually or in groups. In the event of a large number of applications, they will be considered in the order in which they are received.

In order to participate in the project, students or groups of students must arrive with a teacher or instructor.

Confirmation of participation in Artlab – Sztuka Młodego Startu will be sent by email by November 7.

Additional information:

  • Participation in the conference is free of charge.
  • The project is specifically aimed at young people from towns with up to 20,000 inhabitants, in order to equalize their opportunities in accessing professional arts education.
