Between Us Knotters | Exhibition by the Artistic Handicraft Group “Klub Supełek”

See the latest works by the artists from the “Klub Supełek” Artistic Handicraft Team. Enjoy the beauty of delicate tatting, embroidery from Kujawy and other regions of Poland in unique and original creations.

For over 40 years, the team has specialized in shuttle lace. The artists from “Supełek” cultivate this technique, develop it creatively, and popularize it; they develop new patterns and support and encourage each other in their creative challenges.

The club has been operating continuously for forty-six years. Every Tuesday, the women’s group weaves thousands of knots into amazing, decorative patterns full of detail and artistic expression. When Wanda Malczewska began training ten apprentices in traditional arts and crafts in 1979, she probably did not imagine that the foundation she had laid would give rise to successive generations of passionate women who proudly call themselves “Supełki” (Knots).
The artists’ works are exhibited at fairs, festivals, and group exhibitions throughout Poland, and they participate in numerous competitions, winning awards and distinctions.

The exhibition features handicrafts created by the artists over the past few months, including tablecloths, table runners, collars, Christmas decorations, greeting cards, bookmarks, and decorative lace appliqués.
